Flotation Technologies To Provide Distributed Buoyancy For The Gomez Project

Cabett Subsea Chooses Flotation Technologies for the Distributed Buoyancy Modules on the Gomez Umbilicals

New Orleans, LA - Deepwater Offshore Technology Conference — November 30th, 2004 — Flotation Technologies, Inc., a global leader in deepwater buoyancy systems, today announced the contract award for Distributed Buoyancy Modules to be used on the direct hydraulic production control umbilicals for the Gomez project, Mississippi Canyon 711, in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Gomez field is located in approximately 3000 feet of water in the Outer Continental Shelf of the Gulf of Mexico with the initial discovery well at Gomez drilled in 1997. ATP Oil & Gas, a Houston-based development and production company of natural gas and oil in the Gulf of Mexico and the North Sea, is the operator with a 99% working interest.
